Sep 20: Manage gift cards with added ‘Gift Card ID’ column in reports.

Understand which gift cards were used for an order, and by which customer. 

We say: The more you know about your customers the better. Gain valuable insights about gifting. 

Sep 20: Acquire new wholesale customers with company account requests.

Add a wholesale account request form anywhere in your store. Submitted forms are automatically moved to a new company profile, where you have the ability to approve customers to place orders, delete customers, or follow up with them to ask for more info. 

We say: B2B registration made easy! 

Sep 20: Shopify Flow — new log output action.

The action allows you to display the value of variables in the workflow run log, without taking action in the workflow (like in a Send Internal Email action). 

Sep 20: POS Go Remote logout.

Merchants using POS Go now have the capability to remotely log out from their devices.

Sep 22: Edit your Shopify Inbox chat widget’s button.

Customise the chat widget even further to better reflect your brand’s identity. Choose from different preset icons and text options and preview the new button as you make changes. 

We say: Consistency is key when it comes to brand expression. Everything from the widget to the tone of responses should be a consistent reflection of your brand to build familiarity and trust over time. 

Sep 25: Find more customers on top ad platforms with Shopify Audiences v2.1.

This improvement promises Shopify’s best performing algorithms yet, a new Benchmarks dashboard, and support for new ad channels to maximise your ad performance.  

We say: Take advantage of this tool to get your ads in front of the right people and drive more sales. You can compare ad performance to stores like yours and now explore opportunities on three new platforms: TikTok, Snapchat and Criteo. Existing platforms include Meta, Google and Pinterest. 

Sep 25: Shopify One Page Checkout is now available to all merchants!

The standard multi-step checkout on Shopify is divided into four steps: information, shipping, payment and confirmation. With one-page, a simplified checkout process is merged into a single step!

We say: Brands will need to upgrade to checkout extensibility to make use of this feature, but it’s worth it! A faster checkout equates to better conversion rates in most cases — this is especially true for retailers that experience high mobile traffic. 

Sep 26: More ways to filter products in admin.

You can now filter products in admin by metafield references (such as recommended products or influencers), building on a previous release that enabled filtering by single line text and true/false.

We say: Provide an enhanced shopping experience for your customers by managing and organising your products. Targeted product collections and recommendations lead to increased sales and customer satisfaction. 

Sep 27: Storefront API support for product bundles.

Merchants using Hydrogen or the Storefront API through the Headless Channel in the admin, can now offer product bundles with Shopify. 

We say: Our developers can now help you create custom bundle experiences for shoppers. Bundles are a great way to increase your AOV and offer a curated customer experience.
